New Jersey Regional Abacus Bee

VISTAS is thrilled to team up with Independence Science to host the Inaugural New Jersey Regional Abacus Bee! What’s more, this unique Math competition for blind and low vision students will run in conjunction with the 14th Annual ISLAND conference, an internationally-renowned gathering focused on disability and STEM.
The New Jersey Regional Abacus Bee will also coincide with the celebration of Abraham Nemeth’s birthdate. Nemeth, a visionary American scientist, created the Nemeth Code for Math and Science, breaking down STEM access barriers for braille readers.
